The Walter A. Soundy Trust has distributed almost US 6.0 million Dollars to worthy and diverse causes an unprecedented achievement in the state of La Libertad.
Some examples of the enterprises financed by the Trust include :
- The Medical Clinic of the Patronage of the Immaculate Conception in Santa Tecla.
- Numerous fully equipped ambulances for the salvadoran Red Cross
- The San Rafael National Hospital Tower
- Multiple housing projects including the one for the coffee plantation workers.
- Extended care facilities for the aged:
- Beato Hermano San Pedro de Betancour in the Port of La Libertad.
- Saint Vincent of Paul in Santa Tecla and in San Juan Opico.
- Schools and residences for children like the school of The Society or Lawyer’s Wives of San Salvador in Sitio del Niño.
- Many projects to carry drinkable water for rural communities.
